UGC asks all universities and HEIs in India to use CUET score for UG admissions to give an equal opportunity to students from all education boards.
The University Grants Commission (UGC), in a recent notice asks all universities and higher education institutions (HEIs) to use Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores for admission into undergraduate programmes.
The notice said that this move would save students from appearing in multiple exams that are held on different dates. This would also give an equal opportunities to all students from different boards to appear for the CUET UG 2023 exams. The commissions requests all concerned institutions to complete their UG and PG admission process by July 2023 and begin academic session by August 1, 2023.
The National Testing Agency has already started the CUET UG 2023 registrations. Candidates can fill their CUET UG application form 2023 on the CUET official website- cuet.smarth.ac.in. The CUET UG 2023 exam will be held from May 21 to 31, 2023. CUET UG 2023 exam will be conducted in 13 different languages in 3 shift each day based on the number of candidates can subject choices. The CUET UG exam pattern and subjects remain the same as the previous year. The candidates appearing for the exam this year can can take as many as 6 domain subjects in addition to one or two languages and the general test. Meanwhile, CUET PG 2023 is expected to be held in first or second week of June 2023.
